Hey guys!
A few days ago I went to the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition in Rotterdam's "Kunsthal." And those of you who don't know who he is, he's an amazing French fashion designer. I'm so glad I went because it was just such an experience. His work is so unique that I was just speechless looking at each of his clothing pieces. They were literally all pieces of art. Not only was it very different but I also felt like a lot of big trends branch off from his work. For example I saw a things like army patterns, lace, asymmetrical/waterfall skirts and dresses. He also played around a lot with different layers of materials. And as you might know he is known for using stripes in so many of his pieces as well as the sort of cone-shaped-boobie trend.

As you walked in, you arrived in this room with a bunch of mannequins, all wearing different and unique clothing pieces. Something I had never seen before and I thought was very cool was that each mannequin had a projector aiming on their face (It was like a little movie/clip) so it looked like their eyes and mouths were moving.
STRIPES
These first three photos are probably one of my most absolute favorites of his. I love the open back and how it comes together and falls to the floor. I really think the stripes give it an amazing effect.
CONE-SHAPED-BOOBIES
You might recognize this from some of Madonna's music videos, he actually designed those for her!
This next section was my favorite sort of "theme." I felt like he was mixing different cultures into the outfits. I thought this was absolutely beautiful.
This is the bag I bought there and what I was wearing: (purple jeans: H&M, sweater: ZARA and my creepers.)
This was so amazing and one of my favorite quotes from him was "Garments don't have a gender." Meaning there is not a right or wrong of what you want to wear and theres no such thing as "guys clothes" or "girl clothes" or colors for guys or girls. I really recommend going if you're in the area, it ends the 12th of May!
